WEEK 0 PREPARATION

Observing the Reasons Behind

Hi Nastja,

I want you to observe your eating patterns and triggers this week. Below are some questions you should ask yourself and things to pay attention to.

Why are we doing this?

→ It will help you become more aware of how these situations happen. Why is this so important? Because this awareness will help us see quicker results when you start implementing the challenges. Knowing why things happen and why you change your reaction to certain situations will help you follow through.

Especially with binge eating, which happens so habitually in the ‘back of your mind,’ awareness is the first step towards full recovery 😊

Questions to ask yourself when you feel a binge urge/after a binge:

  1. What have I eaten today (throughout the day before the binge urge/binge)?

  2. What were my thoughts when the urge came up?

  3. Did I think about calories in the food or my weight?

  4. What emotions was I experiencing before the urge? (e.g., stress, boredom, loneliness)

  5. How did I feel physically right before the binge? (e.g., tired, hungry, full, restless)
